ASHAM curling supplies and equipment is a sports retail corporation based in Canada. For this project we were to create a retail office for this company in Denver, Colorado. The concept for this design was inspired by kinetic energy. This is the energy an object possesses due to its motion, which directly connects to ASHAM’s goal of innovation and expansion. In order for one to create, they need an active mind and in order for one to expand, they need to push through societal limitations.
Focusing on the idea of movement within the sport of curling, the architectural and interior elements will create contrasting angular and curvilinear forms that blend together through the use on crisp and smooth materials. A play on Lighting and color will influence the atmosphere to complement the energetic design.
