Furniture design- wall panel

exhibited at the 2015 international contemporary furniture fair |               currently being displayed in the florida state university office of commercialization

The concept for this panel design was inspired by the fabric seen above. The piece was to merge the two contrasting patterns seen in foreground and background of the fabric. I used hand rendering to create the design which was then composed digitally through Auto cad and then fabricated using a CNC router and laser cutter for the miniature model. The final piece is composed of plywood.

Furniture design- CHildren's bookcase

cardboard furniture design | tallahassee, florida | 4 weeks

The concept for this bookshelf was inspired by the children's book Pete the Cat I love my White Shoes. This design was for a pre-kindergarten classroom in a local Tallahassee school. Not only can this design function as a storage unit, it also serves as a way for the teacher to help teach the children how to tie their shoe laces using the string feature on the sides of the bookshelf.
